About Ryan Voorhees
Ryan Voorhees is the President of both CRV Enterprises, Inc., and Gold Creek Homes (or Gold Creek, Inc.) Born in Pipestone, Minnesota, he studied Ag Business in Arizona for four years and in Texas for two years.
Voorhees worked construction jobs to put himself through college, so by the time he decided to get out of the cowboy business and start building homes, he had a head start.
Ryan and his wife moved to California right after they were married in 1985. He bought his first subdivision — 40 lots — in 1986; he started selling the lots and built homes on a few of them. It didn’t take long for him to decide that a subdivision really needs a master plan to make sense.
Voorhees didn’t start seriously building until his family moved to Galt in 1992; when he formed CRV Enterprises, Inc., which is the development side of his company. Gold Creek Homes (Gold Creek, Inc.) was created a few years later to handle the actual home building part of the business.
Gold Creek Estates isn’t Voorhees’ first Calaveras County project; in Burson he built Sagebrush Estates in 1995, and has built homes in the Valley Springs area off and on over the years.
When CRV Enterprises bought the property that became Gold Creek Estates, Voorhees was required to develop it in substantial conformity with the project that had already been approved for the property, or would have had to spend years reworking all of the associated permits. Gold Creek Estates was built within the originally approved design, with one major difference: Gold Creek Homes built high quality semi-custom homes, instead of putting in modular homes like the original plan called for. Voorhees felt that semi-custom homes would be a more valuable addition to the Valley Springs community.
Other projects in the Valley Springs, Calaveras County and surrounding areas include Olive Orchard Estates, Camanche Oaks and Hogan Oaks, among others.
Information on these projects can be found at www.goldcreekhomes.com.
CRV Enterprises has commercial / industrial projects being developed in the Stockton area, information on which can be found by using the Commercial projects link at top.
